| Richmond Hill Retreat

Richmond Hill is an
ecumenical inter-racial residential Christian community and permanent
place of prayer for the entire metropolitan City of Richmond.
The $6.3 million project
combined adaptive reuse with historical renovation, as well as new
construction, allowing our Company to put all of its skills on display.
The three-phase project, involved the restoration and renovation of
three buildings including the historic 1810 Adams-Taylor House, as well
as the 1894 Chapel, and the construction of three new additions totaling
41,460 square feet, all while the Owner remained in operation. New
spaces included a chapel, library, commercial kitchen, dining areas,
offices, meeting and counseling rooms and 41 apartment/dormitory rooms. |

“We could not have hoped
for a better General Contractor for the renovation of Richmond Hill than
Conquest, Moncure & Dunn.
Both the planning and execution of the project were excellent. The
construction superintendent is one of the finest builders I have ever
dealt with. From start to finish, the management and all of the staff
dealt with us promptly, competently and thoroughly.
This was a 30-month
complete renovation, which took place while Richmond Hill maintained a
residential community and public activity. Conquest, Moncure & Dunn and
its workers and subcontractors worked consistently and carefully with us
to make sure that our operation could continue throughout the entire
process.
The quality of the
workmanship is excellent, especially for such a large and detailed job.
The renovation required a high degree of attention to detail and changes
by both the contractor and subcontractors. Conquest, Moncure & Dunn
remained attentive to that detail throughout the entire project.
The result is an
excellent product, one which has been well received by virtually
everyone who has seen it, and one which performs its purpose better than
could have been dreamed. Conquest is, simply, an excellent contractor.
We would be glad to speak with anyone who wishes a direct reference”.
